Good morning Reader and happy Tuesday. Here's what I've been jamming to:

Short post this week. Hit a yoga class for the first time in about a year last night. Kicked my ass. You try holding a half-moon pose for a minute and tell me how you feel. I'm man enough to admit when I've been defeated.
And speaking of moons, despite my yoga-induced fatigue my body shot me up at 5am this morning. I tried in vain to fall back asleep until I succumbed to the urge to scroll Twitter; the first post I saw was from a Barstool sports personality saying something along of the lines of "holy shit the moon!" Not exactly Galileo but it did get me to grab my glasses and peer out my blinds.
The red orb hanging low in the sky was downright alien-looking. I walked to a nearby bridge over the Charles River and took in the Blood Moon fading in the west while an epic sunrise came behind me from the east. Then I walked back to my place to get ready for a podcast interview I've been stoked to do. Then the guy canceled on me. So I'm calling the morning a draw.
Anyways, here's some indie rock tunes that I jammed heavy to this week. Los Porcos is the highlight. They're an offshoot of flash-in-the-pan indie pop darlings WU LYF, but Porcos focus more on the funky, fast-paced jams than the shock-and-awe style of WU. The Goon Sax also provides a heavy head bopper for good measure. And if there was one song that captured my early morning astronomical experience today it's the demo version of My Morning Jacket's "Circuital." Even the EP artwork for the song looks like the Blood Moon.
Thanks for listening and see you in a week!

PREVIEW The Apache Relay - Good as Gold Hooks like this you can visualize. You feel like you're grabbed and taken up, down, and over the hump when the chorus of "Good as Gold" hits.
